Absolutely! COREtec Waterproof Flooring is an engineered luxury vinyl product. It is 100 percent waterproof, so it’s especially great for high-moisture level rooms, like baths or kitchens.
COREtec Waterproof Flooring: Stylish and Functional
Luxury vinyl just isn’t like the stuff we remember from decades ago. It evolved, along with technology, so you can now get vinyl also in tile form that looks remarkably similar to stone, such as marble, slate or travertine. Or you can get it in planks which look just like hardwood. It’s suitable for any environment, from the rustic farmhouse kitchen, to the modern casual living room.
A patented construction with a stable core makes this flooring highly durable. A clear plastic wear layer on top protects against heavy foot traffic, and a cork underlayment insulates against noise.
It’s Also Easy to Clean
All it takes to clean your new COREtec Waterproof Vinyl Flooring is a broom or dry mop. These will loosen dirt and dust effectively. For a more thorough cleaning, use a manufacturer-approved detergent (your flooring expert can advise you), and a damp mop. Blot spills immediately and even consider putting mats by the entrances so dirt can’t be dragged in.
Speaking of dragging, don’t haul heavy furniture across the floor but, rather, put a piece of plywood or cardboard underneath it. Furniture protectors are always a good idea, no matter what the flooring.
If your vacuum cleaner has a beater bar, turn it off. Beater bars were invented decades ago specifically for carpet vacuuming, but they can cause a lot of damage to vinyl flooring. In today’s upright models, beater bars are really rotating brushes, but you can turn them off or remove them.
Now, here’s the big question people will ask: “”Will I need to polish COREtec Waterproof Vinyl?” Yes...and no! No, because you don’t ever want to use those waxy, shine promoting cleaners. They can actually dull a floor, or even change its color somewhat. However, there are some good floor polishes that your flooring retailer can recommend; they add shine protect the floor, sometimes up to a year or so, important if you have heavy foot traffic.
