Three Frequently Asked Questions About COREtec Waterproof Flooring

We get a lot of questions about COREtec waterproof flooring here at the Metro Flooring showroom over the course of a week. So, we thought it would be helpful to put together a quick FAQ that covers the three most common questions our customers have about this relatively unfamiliar flooring material.

Here they are, in no particular order:

1. Can it Be Used Indoors?

Some of our more clever customers, who are looking for wood flooring they can use in areas where it is otherwise not recommended, have asked if COREtec is suitable for indoor applications.

Although COREtec waterproof flooring was originally designed for outdoor applications, such as around pools, or for decks, it has recently found its way indoors with increasing regularity. If you are looking for an amazing wood look flooring material that can stand up to any and all moisture, look no further!

2. Are There Many Styles?

We don't really know why, but many people seem to think that COREtec waterproof flooring only comes in a couple of styles. It's an irritatingly persistent myth, and we really wish we knew why people think this.

The fact of the matter is that COREtec comes in a stunning array of styles that imitate a wide range of natural hardwoods. Oak, hickory, maple, pine, just about any type of wood you can think of, and COREtec has it, in a range of colors and shades for each type, no less!

3. Aside From Being Waterproof, What Other Benefits Does it Have?

Many people don't realize that the cork underlayment layer of COREtec actually makes this type of flooring an excellent insulator for both sound and heat.

This means COREtec flooring will help to make your house warmer and quieter, in addition to being beautiful!
